    WHAT CLIENTS & COLLEAGUES SAY

    CONNIE BRENTON

Chief of Staff | Director of Legal

    Operations, NetApp

"You have an intuition and a style that brings out the soul of those you connect with, teach, and write about. It's an amazing talent. I have been honored to have been part of your contributions and insights on the legal profession and

    its leaders."

    ADAM STERLING

    Berkeley Law School

"We have had the pleasure of working with Rose for the last couple of years. She is a phenomenal writer, interviewer, and colleague."

    WILLIAM HENDERSON

Law Professor & Editor, Legal Evolution

"I recently worked with Rose on a Q&A session for Curious Minds. This is how it worked: Rose asked good, hard questions; I rambled and ruminated; Rose listened, distilled, and edited; and something elegant and useful came out the other side. What a talent! I would love to work with Rose again."

    DEREK DEWAN

Chairman & CEO at GEE Group Inc.

Rose ran the west coast legal services business for our publicly traded multi-billion dollar NYSE company. She was responsible for new business, client relationships and had P&L responsibility. She helped us integrate our national operation as well. Rose is a pleasure to work with and an asset to any organization.

    JENNIFER HINSHAW

Chief Product & Strategy Officer, Paradigm

Rose is a creative talent with tireless commitment and drive, and lots of raw intelligence. She has a singular ability to communicate her vision and passion for an idea in a way that attracts customers, inspires great employees, and convinces partners and investors to part with their resources. Having worked closely with Rose at Two Smart Dogs for two years, I repeatedly witnessed her ability to engage and win over even the most reluctant recruits to our cause. No doubt this is how she built her first business, and how she will continue to create value for the people and causes she commits herself to in the future. When engaged with something she believes in and cares about, Rose makes things happen and makes you want to be right there with her doing it.

    PROJECT PROFESSIONAL

    Founder & CEO | 1988-1997
In the late '80s, I had a crazy business idea and sketched it on the proverbial napkin. The idea became Project Professionals, Inc. (PPI).   A pioneer in the legal industry, PPI was one of a handful of new companies to provide attorneys to law firms and in-house legal departments on a project and secondment basis. Ten years later, PPI was purchased by an NYSE staffing firm. The company thrives today as part of Special Counsel.   Representative legal department clients: Honeywell, Apple, PG&E, ARCO, LEVI, Bank of America, Chevron, Hewlett Packard, Litton, Avery Dennison (these same clients who introduced us to their law firms who, too, became clients).   Our clients believed early and forever—great companies— even greater people.

Part of the team and me.

    TWO SMART DOGS

FOUNDER + CEO | 2007-2010   In 2008 I had another crazy idea—create an online marketplace (Yelp + Ticketmaster) to find and buy classes in the learning for fun space. The idea became TwoSmartDogs.
    • Led effort to raise capital resulting in a $700,000+ angel round
    • Developed branding and marketing campaigns
    • Led sales program
We launched TwoSmartDogs in our test market—Los Angeles—with known brands, including, UCLA Extension, Santa Monica Museum of Art, Brentwood Art Center, American Girl, Whole Foods.   A privilege to work with people with such talent, passion, tenacity.
